Simply put, the
purpose of a Will is to lay out who your assets will be distributed to upon your death and to
appoint a personal representative to handle your estate. It also lets everybody know who you
want to raise your minor children and control any assets you may have left to them. Even if
you aren’t the parent of a minor child, you may still want to leave a gift for a grandchild,
godchild, niece, nephew, etc., and a Will is a great way to accomplish that
